Avery Science Team Wins Regionals

The Avery Science Team made up of John Thornsberry, Wade Burkett, Jessica Lee, and Mallory Reed won the UIL Region III Championship held in Nacogdoches. Thornsberry took home the Individual Champion distinction with Lee placing 6th. Thornsberry also earned High Score recognition in Chemistry. Avery's Regional score proved to be the highest in the state. On May 3rd the Science Team will compete for the State Championship in Austin. Avery has not realized their goal of a State Championship to date, but with this year's regional score being the highest in the state our chances are high. The team has worked very hard this year in order to achieve this goal. We wish them Luck and "Go Avery!"
