Mobile Dairy Visits Elementary Students

The Southwest Dairy Center from Sulphur Springs, TX visited Avery Elementary March 11. During the presentation students were told about the importance of dairy products in the diet; the steps in producing and processing milk, the safeguards for keeping milk fresh and clean; and that cows are interesting. The students were able to see an actual milking demonstration after the presenter talked with students. Students each received pencils and an eraser from the center promoting milk and dairy products. We appreciate the Southwest Dairy Center coming to our school and providing this educational program for our students.
